John Deere Engine 3- 4045HF285 Constant Speed - Industrial Auxiliary Engine

John Deere 4045HF285 4.5L PowerTech™ engines with 117 kW (157 hp) output confirm ISO 8528 prime power. This engine is reliable for marine applications in deck cranes, generators, hydraulics, pumps, and winches.

Key Features

2-Valve Cylinder Head

The cross-flow head design regulated seamless breathing from the lower cost of the two-valve cylinder head.

High-Pressure Common-Rail (HPCR) & Engine Control Unit (ECU)

The HPCR fuel system controls the fuel injection timing during the start, duration, and end of the injection. This system can regulate pressure up to 1600 bar (23,000 psi) for variable common-rail pressure, multiple injections, and higher injections. The integrated ECU controls air management, fuel supply and ignitions for comprehensive functionality.

Fixed Geometry Turbocharger

The optimized fixed geometry turbochargers control performance across the entire torque curve to maximize fuel economy across the engine’s rated speed and peak torque.

Air-To-Air Aftercooled Mechanism

This intake air cooling system reduces engine emissions and maintains low-speed torque, transient response time, and peak torque. It minimises installation costs and fuel consumption to meet emission standards.

Multiple Injection Strategy

The integrated HPCR and ECU control multiple injections depending on the vessel load and speed. It lowers combustion temperatures to reduce the formation of NOx and other particulates, besides reducing the engine noise.

John Deere Electronic Engine Controls

PowerTech E engines specialise in offering electronically controlled fuel systems, enhanced cold-start performance, precise engine speed control, torque curve shaping and more. It is also beneficial to lower the installation costs by eliminating the need for additional components – redundant sensors, add-on electronic governors, and shutdown devices.

The EPA-compliant equipment keeps your vessel cruising on international water while offering fuel economy and reducing emissions.

Key Features

2-valve cylinder head

The cross-flow head design of the engine facilitates superb breathing from a lower-cost two-valve cylinder head.

High-pressure common-rail (HPCR) and engine control unit (ECU)

The HPCR fuel system induces variable common-rail pressure, multiple injections, and higher injection pressures, up to 1600 bar (23,000 psi). The integrated system also controls fuel injection timing and offers precise control for the start, duration, and end of the injection.

Fixed geometry turbocharger

The optimized fixed geometry turbochargers support the configured power range. It supervises the performance of the entire torque curve to maximize fuel economy between the rated speed and peak torque of the engine.

Turbocharged

The air in turbocharged engines is pre-compressed to form high pressure. It ensures optimum air supply into the combustion chamber for the corresponding increase in fuel injection for greater engine output.

Multiple injection strategy

The integrated HPCR fuel system and engine control unit (ECU) prompt multiple fuel injections. The number of fuel injections applied is based on the speed and load of the vessel. It also maintains lower combustion temperatures to minimise NOx and particulate formation alongside noise reduction.

John Deere electronic engine controls

PowerTech E engines feature electronically controlled fuel systems with revolutionary cold-start performance, precise engine speed control, torque curve shaping and more. It also reduces the overall installation price by eliminating the need for additional redundant sensors, add-on electronic governors, and shutdown devices.

John Deere Engine 10 - 6090AFM85 - Marine Generator Drive Engine

This 9.0L PowerTech™ engine offers high power density at 195-222 kW (261-297 hp) output. It is ideal for patrol craft, launches, work boats, fishing boats, trawler yachts, and sportfishing boats.

Key Features

Optional low rpm operation

A lower speed option provides the user the ability to start the engine without going to the gen-set rated speed and allows the user to clutch in an accessory that may be driven by the engine.

4-valve cylinder head

Excellent airflow through 4-valve cylinder head delivers greater low-speed torque and better transient response time.

High-pressure common-rail (HPCR)

The HPCR fuel system provides variable common-rail pressure, multiple injections, and controls fuel injection timing and provides precise control for the start, duration, and end of injection.

Water-cooled exhaust manifold

Integrated components eliminate external hoses and fittings. Wet exhaust manifold creates a cooler and quieter environment for passengers and crew.

Replaceable cylinder liners

Replaceable wet-type cylinder liners are precision-machined and hardened for long life. Allows engine to be rebuilt to original specifications.

Electronic engine control unit (ECU)

Advanced fault code diagnostics and customizable engine protections ensure reliability and uptime. Provides highly customizable features and trim to integrate your vessel.

Keel-cooled or heat exchanger

Closed cooling system in keel-cooled engine option eliminates the need for a sea strainer, seawater pump, or anodes. Heat exchanger option offers a lighter, more compact, and simpler engine installation.

Multiple service options

Either-side oil fill/dipstick combinations and remote oil and fuel filter options are available for easier service access.

John Deere Engine 11 - 6090HFM85 Constant Speed - Industrial Auxiliary Engine

6090HFM85 9.0L PowerTech™ engine has 238 kW (325 hp) power rating operating @ 1800 rpm. It is configured to deliver best performance for patrol craft, launches, work boats, fishing boats, trawler yachts, and sportfishing boats.

Key Features

ABS type approved for use on classed & inspected vessel

  • Water-cooled exhaust manifold and turbo to meet surface temperature requirements
  • Marine Classification Society approved fuel hoses, lube, and oil hoses

4-valve cylinder head

  • The 4-valve cylinder head provides excellent airflow resulting in greater low-speed torque and better transient response.
  • Cross flow design

Electronic unit injector (EUI) and engine control unit (ECU)

  • The EUI fuel system provides variable common-rail pressure, multiple injections, and higher injection pressures, up to 2000 bar (29,000 psi). It also controls fuel injection timing and provides precise control for start, duration, and end of injection.

Air-to-air aftercooled

This is the most efficient method of cooling intake air to help reduce engine emissions while maintaining low-speed torque, transient response time, and peak torque. It enables an engine to meet emissions regulations with better fuel economy and the lowest installed costs.

John Deere electronic engine controls

  • Electronic engine controls monitor critical engine functions, providing warning and/or shutdown to prevent costly engine repairs and eliminate the need for add-on governing components all lowering total installed costs. Snapshot diagnostic data that can be retrieved using commonly available diagnostic service tools.
  • Controls utilize common wiring interface connector for vehicles or available OEM instrumentation packages; new solid conduit and “T” connectors to reduce wiring stress and provide greater durability and improved appearance.
  • Factory-installed, engine mounted ECU and wiring harness and associated components. Industry- standard SAE J1939 interface communicates with other vehicle systems, eliminating redundant sensors and reducing vehicle installed cost.

Additional features

  • Gear-driven auxiliary drives
  • Self-adjusting poly-vee fan drive
  • Single-piece low friction piston
  • Low-pressure fuel system with “auto-prime” feature
  • Directed top-liner cooling
