DEUTZ Clamping Nut
The Clamping Nut secures the v-belt guard in place.
HOW IT WORKS
Nuts are fasteners with a threaded hole in the middle. They use a combination of friction, deformation, stretching, and compression to fasten parts together with the help of a bolt.
The nut is designed to increase break-loose torque. This makes the nut extremely difficult to loosen once properly torqued. The nut’s upper threads are distorted, allowing it to self-lock and resist forces such as vibration.
WHY IT MATTERS
The nut is necessary to retain the assemblies. It prevents components from loosening and causing unnecessary damage to the engine.
